Gori Muñoz (1906-1978) was born in Valencia, Spain. From a young age he developed an intense professional activity. During the Spanish Civil War he contributed actively to the Republican government. After their defeat, he was exiled and ended up settling in Buenos Aires, Argentina. There, he became a renowned art director and scenographer during Argentina's golden age of cinema. His notorious work can be appreciated in the most influential films of that period, but he continued working long afterwards.
