While experimenting with both analog and digital technology, Emma Roufs is a quebecois/canadian filmmaker who’s particularly interested in film-journal aesthetics and themes related to memory. Her films have shown in various festivals and cinema spaces around the world, and are distributed by Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Center, Winnipeg Film Group, Groupe Intervention Vidéo and Vidéographe. Her first essay documentary ATALAYA (2021) won awards at Cinema on the Bayou film festival (USA) and at Vues du Québec - Festival de cinéma de Florac (France).
